Null modem cables and adapters connect two serial devices that require a null modem (cross-wired) configuration. This 6ft cable has a DB9 female connector on each end. Superior molded cables with foil shielding offer maximum EMI/RFI protection. Gold-plated connectors and contacts provide superior conductivity. Implementing RS-232 serial devices via USB provides many advantages. It enables "plug & play" capability as well as hot-swapping. A single port on the adapter can typically achieve 230.4k bps data rates and under certain conditions may be capable of up to 460.8k bps.
